These Air Fryer Chicken Quarters are seasoned with a simple Cajun spice blend and cooked until the skin is crispy and golden while the meat stays juicy and tender. They're an easy, budget-friendly dinner that's ready in about 40 minutes with just a handful of pantry ingredients.
Pat dry chicken leg quarters on all sides. In a small bowl, combine spices - Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Spritz some olive oil spray on all sides of the chicken. Add the seasoning mixture on to the and maranate chicken leg quarters for 2 hours or overnight.
Place chicken leg quarters, skin side down, on the Air Fryer tray. In a pre-heated Air Fryer Oven, insert the Air Fryer tray into the cooking chamber. Set at 380F (193C) for 30 minutes. At the last 8 minutes, flip chicken leg quarters, skin side up.
Keep watch at the last 5 minutes. Continue to cook chicken until golden brown and when the internal temperature of the thickest part reaches 165°F. Remove the chicken from the Air Fryer. Transfer to a serving platter. Serve immediately.
Notes
Bring the chicken out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking for more even results.
If one chicken quarter is much larger than the others, remove the smaller pieces first and continue cooking the larger one until it reaches 165°F.
Use silicone-tipped tongs when flipping the chicken to help keep the skin intact.
Store leftovers whole instead of removing the meat from the bone to help keep the chicken juicy when reheating.
