Oreo Spiders

Turn a pack of Oreos into creepy-cute Halloween spiders with this quick, no-bake recipe. Each cookie gets eight chewy licorice legs and two googly candy eyes, all held together with a bit of icing and fun. These are festive, kid-friendly, and low calorie enough to enjoy more than one.

Equipment

  • Parchment paper
  • Sharp scissors or kitchen shears
  • Butter knife or small offset spatula (for separating Oreos)
  • Small spoon or piping tip (for applying icing)
  • Tray or flat surface for assembling and setting the cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 18 Double-Stuffed Oreos
  • Eye ball candies
  • Licorice ropes
  • Black icing

Instructions
 

  • Prep your workspace with parchment.
  • Cut the licorice ropes into 1 inch size pieces, set aside.
  • Carefully separate the Oreo with the filling on one side.
  • Place four licorice legs on each side of the Oreo and gently press into the filling to keep it
  • secured. Each Oreo should have eight legs. Replace the top half of the cookie and gently
  • press into place.
  • Use the black icing to dab two spots for the eye balls.
  • 6.Place the candy eyes and gently press into place.
