One of my favorite tasty midweek meals has always been these Garlic and Herb Chicken Wings. They are packed with flavor and so easy to make with only a few simple ingredients! Just serve this up with your favorite side dish, like a salad, and you have yourself a meal!
This easy chicken wing recipe is sure to be a hit with your family. I serve these up as a party appetizer when we have get-togethers. I make a few different variations of wing recipes such as garlic butter chicken wings, and parmesan cheese wings. Serve with some bleu cheese dressing or whatever kind of dipping sauce you prefer.

Instructions

Place wings in a large bowl and pat dry. Add Oil, crushed Garlic & Rosemary in a bowl and mix well.
Add spice mixture to the oil mix.
Pour the mixture onto the wings and mix well. Reserve some mix for the last few minutes to baste the wings.
On parchment paper, or a well-greased pan, lay the wings in a row flat in a single layer. Place in a 250-degree preheated oven for 35 minutes, flip, then increase the temperature to 450 degrees for an additional 40- 45 min or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Use the reserved wing mix and baste the wings on both sides. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle fresh Parsley on top of your cooked wings
Variations and Substitutions
- Want a little kick? Add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the oil mixture for a spicy twist.
- Don't have rosemary on hand? Use thyme or oregano instead for a different flavor profile.
- For a healthier option, use an air fryer instead of the oven. Just follow the same cooking instructions but adjust the temperature and time according to your air fryer's settings.
- If you're vegetarian or vegan, try using cauliflower florets instead of chicken wings for a delicious plant-based alternative.
- Serve your wings with your favorite dipping sauces such as ranch, blue cheese, or BBQ sauce.
- If you don't have an oven available, you can also grill these wings. Simply place them on a preheated grill over medium heat and cook for about 20 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
- Use whatever herbs you have on hand such as fresh oregano for your herb seasoning.
Equipment
- Small bowl
- Large bowl
- baking rack or large baking sheet
Storage
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days
Freezing: You can store in a freezer bag or airtight container for up to 3 months
Reheat: To reheat, place wings back in the air fryer for 4-5 minutes or until crispy.
Pro Tips
- If you're short on time, skip marinating and just sprinkle the spice mixture directly onto the wings before cooking.
- For extra crispy wings, place them under the broiler for a few minutes after they are done cooking in the oven or air fryer.
- Swap out half of the oil with melted unsalted butter for an extra rich and flavorful wing experience.
- To ensure crispy skin on the wings, make sure to thoroughly pat dry them before marinating
- To prevent your wings from sticking to the pan, make sure to use enough oil or cooking spray on aluminum foil or parchment paper.
FAQ
No, you can use dried herbs in place of fresh ones. Just make sure to adjust the amount used as dried herbs are more concentrated.
For best results, marinate for at least an hour or up to overnight in the fridge. However, if short on time, even just a quick 15-minute marinade will add flavor to your wings.
Yes, but make sure to thaw them completely before cooking and pat them dry before adding any seasoning or marinade.
