Air Fryer Hibachi Chicken

This Air Fryer Hibachi Chicken Recipes is by far my favorite!  Not only is it on of the easiest chicken dishes to make, but it tastes just like the hibachi chicken you get at a Japanese steakhouse. Plus, using an air fryer makes it healthier than traditional hibachi cooking methods and you have fork-tender vegetables.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Spicy –  For extra heat and flavor, add in some chili flakes or Sriracha sauce to the stir-fry.
  • Vegetarian – replace chicken with tofu or tempeh and use vegetable broth instead of soy sauce. Add in your favorite vegetables such as a bell pepper, mushrooms, or zucchini for added texture and flavor.
  • Low-carb/Keto-friendly – Of course, we are going to skip the rice. Replace the white rice or hibachi rice you are used to eating and serve over cauliflower rice or spiralized zucchini noodles.  Veggies are a great option to keep you on track.
  • Veggies – Add in some low-carb vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Red Pepper, green onions or cabbage for a satisfying and healthy meal.
  • Dairy-free – Skip the butter and use olive oil instead. To add creaminess, you can mix coconut milk into the soy sauce mixture before adding it to the pan.
  • Other meats – To change up the meal you can substitute the Chicken and make some hibachi shrimp or hibachi steak.
